Journaling Exercise: Your Perfect Morning

Beginning of a day sets the tone for the rest of the day. For me personally, waking up at around 8, ideally without an alarm clock (this rarely happens), having a hot shower and then good breakfast, puts me in a relaxed mental state. I’m then ready to take on the world. Of course the reality is that for the most part, it’s waking up, dashing about in a hurry, and jumping straight into work. But those perfect mornings do happen, and when they do, they put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.

Today, I want you to journal about your perfect morning. Start with what is your perfect morning? Exactly what needs to happen, or not happen for it  to be ideal for you? Why? How is this different from your usual mornings? What can you do to make your perfect morning happen more often?

  2. My perfect morning is just after the sunrise, a steaming cup of hot coffee, a purple ink pen, my journal, the sounds of birds, and the still small voice of God

  3. My perfect morning would be waking up to run on the beach with my dog, then coming home for a shower, very light breakfast and a cup of coffee.
